Coding Boot Camp Overview
The Application Architect program teaches you to design, build, and deploy modern applications using today’s leading cloud and AI development tools. Alongside core Microsoft Azure cloud, database, and data-analytics skills, the program builds your programming foundation with Introduction to Python and prepares you for the Claude Certified Developer – Foundations certification from Anthropic. You will learn to build AI-powered applications with Claude — including working with the Claude API, prompt engineering, and developing with Claude Code — while gaining hands-on Python programming skills. The program also covers Azure compute, storage and security, cloud-native and hybrid data platform solutions on Microsoft Azure using SQL, writing Transact-SQL queries and maintaining SQL databases, and turning data into clear data visualizations with Microsoft Power BI. A Certificate of Completion will be awarded upon successful completion of this program.
The hands-on lab scenarios focus on the principles and building blocks used to create real software and web applications, now with an emphasis on Python and AI-assisted development. This program uses Python, the Claude API, Claude Code, Git, Microsoft Azure (Cloud), Microsoft SQL, Power BI, and many other tools.
Program Description
The core training for this program is defined by the competencies required to earn the Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), Microsoft Azure AI Cloud Developer Associate (AI-200), Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals (DP-900), Microsoft Azure Database Administrator Associate (DP-300), and Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) certifications, together with foundational Python programming and the Claude Certified Developer – Foundations certification from Anthropic. These certifications ensure the holder can create, develop, maintain, and deploy cloud and data solutions and can build AI-powered applications using Claude. This program will prepare students for roles such as full stack developer, AI application developer, cloud developer, database administrator, or data analyst. Students in the Application Architect program are provided with hands-on learning to ensure they gain ample experience in both structured coursework and real-world cloud and AI development environments.
Please Note: To earn the certifications covered within the Application Architect program — including the Microsoft Azure and Power BI certifications and the Claude Certified Developer – Foundations certification from Anthropic — students must register for and pass each certification’s exam.
