Use Your GI Bill® for CompTIA Server+ Training
The Code Academy is approved by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. If you have Post-9/11 GI Bill® (Chapter 33) or DEA (Chapter 35) benefits, VA can pay you back for our CompTIA Server+ Boot Camp — up to the approved $2,495.
Server+ proves you can install, manage and fix the servers that businesses run on. It is a strong next step after CompTIA A+ and a good fit for veterans who worked on systems or networks in the service. Here is what VA approved and how to get your money back.

Who can use it
You can use this if you are approved for one of these VA benefits:
- Chapter 33 — Post-9/11 GI Bill®
- Chapter 35 — Survivors’ and Dependents’ Educational Assistance (DEA)
This approval does not cover the Montgomery GI Bill (Chapter 30 and 1606) and Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E, Chapter 31).
How to get your money back, step by step
- Make sure your benefit is active. You must already be approved for Chapter 33 or Chapter 35 and have entitlement left. Not applied yet? Start with Apply for VA education benefits.
- Enrol in the CompTIA Server+ Boot Camp and pay the tuition. VA pays you back after the class — it does not pay the school up front.
- Attend the course — in the classroom, live online or hybrid — then ask us for your proof of enrollment. Keep your payment receipt.
- Send VA Form 22-10272 to VA with your receipt and proof of enrollment. You can VA Form 22-10272 (apply online) or mail the paper form.
- VA pays you back — up to the approved $2,495.

Frequently asked questions
Is The Code Academy approved by the VA?
Yes. VA approved The Code Academy effective June 1, 2026. Our VA facility code is 46P00310.
Which courses can I use my GI Bill for?
Right now, only the CompTIA Server+ Boot Camp. We have asked VA to approve more courses and will list them here once they are approved.
Does VA pay the school directly?
No. You pay the tuition, finish the course, and then send VA Form 22-10272 with your receipt and proof of enrollment. VA pays the money back to you.
Can I use the Montgomery GI Bill or VR&E?
Not for this course. VA only pays for prep courses like this one under the Post-9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33) and DEA (Chapter 35).
Does this use up my GI Bill entitlement?
Yes, a portion of it. VA works out the entitlement charge from the actual amount you paid for the course.
Can I take the course online?
Yes. The VA-approved course can be taken in the classroom at our Miami campus, by distance learning (live online with an instructor), or as a hybrid of both.
Is the CompTIA exam fee included?
The exam voucher is a separate, optional purchase. VA pays back certification exam fees through a different form, VA Form 22-0803, when the exam is on VA’s approved list.
