The NIST Cybersecurity Professional Foundation Certificate course is accredited through APMG International, certified in the UK by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), and listed as qualified cyber training by the DHS Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) in the United States. The course introduces IT, business, and cybersecurity professionals to digital transformation, cyber risk management, and the core principles of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (NIST-CSF). Participants learn how organizations can apply a NIST-CSF program across an enterprise and its supply chain to address current cybersecurity challenges. This is the first examined course in the NIST Cyber Security Professional series, which focuses on building a culture-driven, adaptive, cyber-resilient organization.

This module addresses the modern digital economy, recognizing and understanding cyber risks, foundational concepts of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, Core Functions, Categories and Subcategories, Implementation Tiers, building Framework Profiles, and approaches to cybersecurity improvement.
