MCSE Productivity (Exchange Server)

Description

Duration: 5 days 

This five-day course will teach IT Professional to administer and support Exchange Server 2016. The student learns how to install Exchange Server 2016, and how to configure and manage an Exchange Server environment. This course will cover how to manage mail recipients and public folders, including how to perform bulk operations using Exchange Management Shell. Students will also learn how to manage client connectivity, message transport, and hygiene, how to implement and manage highly available Exchange Server deployments, and hot to implement back up and disaster recovery solutions.

Additionally, how to maintain and monitor an Exchange Server 2016 deployment, as well as how to administer Exchange Online in an Office 365 deployment.

This course includes IT professionals who take this course as preparation material for exam 70-345: Designing and Deploying Microsoft Exchange Server 2016, or as part of the requirement for the MCSE: Productivity (Exchange Server 2016) certification.

****Important Note – Students must obtain MCSA Windows Server 2016 to meet the requirements for MCSE Productivity. The Academy offers the MCSA Windows Server 2016  boot camps. You can attend the Exchange camp (and take the exam) w/o Windows Server or Office 365 – however – you will not obtain exchange certification.****

  • 20345-1: Administering Microsoft Exchange Server 2016

The intension of this course is to teach students who are interested in becoming enterprise-level messaging administrators for Exchange Server 2016.

Prerequisites

Students interested in this course should have previous knowledge or experience in:

  • A minimum of two years of experience administering Windows Server, including Windows Server 2012 R2 or Windows Server 2016
  • A minimum of two years’ experience working with an Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS)
  • A minimum of two years of experience working with name resolution including Domain Name System (DNS).
  • Understanding of TCP/IT and networking concepts
  • Understanding of Windows Server 2012 R2 or later, and AD DS, including planning designing, and deploying
  • Understanding of security concepts such as authentication and authorization
  • Understanding of Simply Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP)
  • Working knowledge of public key infrastructure (PKI) technologies; including Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS).
